Your trading environment should adapt to you — not the other way around.
In Flows.Trading, the Charting Space is built with a flexible layout system made of panels.
Each panel hosts a specific tool (Chart, Watchlist, Brokers, Indicators, etc.), and all panels remain visible at all times.
What you control is how these panels share the screen — their size, position, and layout style.
By mastering the layout, you can:
Focus on what matters by giving more space to key panels like the Chart.
Keep secondary tools visible but unobtrusive.
Save and quickly switch between custom layouts for different trading tasks.
By the end of this guide, you’ll know how to organize your workspace efficiently and save layouts that fit your unique workflow.
Step 1 – Adjusting Panel Sizes #
Panels can be resized freely to fit your preferences and screen setup.
Hover over the border between two panels until the resize cursor appears.
Drag to expand or reduce a panel.
The layout adjusts automatically to keep all panels visible and balanced.
💡 Try it now: Drag the edge of the Chart to make it larger when you’re analyzing price action, or reduce it slightly to bring your Watchlist and Indicators into clearer view.
This control helps you design a workspace that reflects your focus — more room for charts when trading, or more metrics when reviewing.
Step 2 – Rearranging Panels #
The layout system lets you rearrange panels to create your preferred workspace structure.
You can move panels around to position them where they make the most sense for your workflow.
- Click and hold a panel’s header or title bar.
- Drag it toward another section of the workspace.
- When the highlight appears, release — the panel will snap into that new location.
💡 Example: Place your Watchlist on the right side for a clean, side-by-side view with the Chart, or move your Indicators panel below the Chart to analyze signals more comfortably.
Once arranged, panels stay in position until you modify the layout again.
Step 3 – Saving and Managing Layouts #
One of the most powerful features of Flows.Trading is the ability to save and reload entire workspace layouts.
This means you can have different configurations ready for different trading contexts — without manually adjusting panels each time.
You’ll find the Layout Selector in the top bar, on the right side of the application (📐 icon).
To Save a Layout #
- Adjust your panels until the layout feels right.
- Click the Layout Selector.
- Choose Save Layout, then give it a descriptive name (e.g., Scalping View, Swing Setup, PnL Review).
To Load or Manage Layouts #
Open the Layout Selector.
Pick a saved layout to instantly restore it.
Rename or delete existing layouts directly from the same menu.
💡 Pro tip: Build dedicated layouts for different modes of work —
Analysis Layout: large Chart area, Indicators visible.
Execution Layout: Orders and Brokers panels given more space.
Review Layout: Journal prioritized, Chart smaller.
Switching layouts takes seconds and keeps your workspace perfectly aligned with your current focus.
Step 4 – Building Your Ideal Setup #
Your layout is personal. There’s no “one right way” — only what feels natural to you.
Experiment with different configurations to find your flow:
Move Watchlist to the side for quick symbol access.
Resize the Chart for better visibility.
Keep the Indicators panel compact below your main chart.
Save each version that suits a specific task or mindset.
Each layout you save becomes a snapshot of how you think — ready to reload whenever you need it.
Conclusion #
Your layout defines how you interact with the market.
By adjusting panel sizes, rearranging elements, and saving multiple workspace presets, you can make Flows.Trading feel entirely your own.
Take a few minutes to experiment — resize, move, and save your favorite setups.
Once your workspace matches your habits, everything becomes smoother, faster, and more intuitive.
