The Spaces Navigation bar is the backbone of the Flows.Trading interface.
Located on the left side of the application, it gives you access to all major functional areas — called Spaces.
Each Space represents a key step in your trading workflow:
-
Trading & Charting Space – analyze markets and place orders.
-
Journal Space – record, review, and analyze your performance.
-
Signals Space – discover opportunities through aggregated technical signals.
-
(More Spaces will be added in future updates, such as portfolio analytics or automation.)
The goal of this design is simple: to let you move between analysis, execution, and review without ever leaving your trading environment.
Why Spaces? #
In most trading setups, you juggle multiple tools: one for charting, one for order execution, another for journaling or analytics.
Flows.Trading unifies them through a Space-based architecture, so each Space focuses on one trading function but stays connected to the others.
-
Consistency: a familiar layout and control scheme across all Spaces.
-
Focus: each Space only shows what’s relevant to its workflow — no clutter, no distractions.
-
Continuity: data flows seamlessly between Spaces (e.g. trades executed in the Charting Space appear instantly in your Journal).
Spaces create a mental and functional separation that mirrors how professional traders think: analyze → act → evaluate → learn.
The Navigation Bar #
The navigation bar is your control center for switching between Spaces.
Layout #
-
Located on the left edge of the interface.
-
Each Space is represented by an icon and label.
-
Clicking an icon instantly loads the selected Space in the main workspace.
At the bottom of the bar, you’ll find:
-
Collapse button: hide or expand the bar for more charting space.
-
Status indicator: shows connection status (e.g. “Connected” when linked to a broker).
Navigation Behavior #
-
Switching between Spaces is instant and persistent — each one remembers its previous layout and settings.
-
The platform saves your last active Space automatically, so reopening Flows.Trading resumes where you left off.
